Plagiarism and other issues

Significant chunks of Pope Honorius I#Legacy which you added were plagiarized from this page, including the citations and sections of text which I could have flagged for original research (since they weren't in the citations) but instead I removed. The text next to the Bury, pg 252 reference still didn't match what was written there. The section as a whole had many redundant quotes being cited over and over, and I have been in the process of cleaning up that. There were also typos in your text (e.g. "monthelitism"), bad formatting (stray spaces, inconsistent quotes, references in the wrong position, etc.) and synthesized information which weren't in the cited sources. These are problems which seem to be consistently present in your edits to other wiki articles. You also have the habit of making many separate edits without summaries which makes all the harder to keep track of your changes and clean up whatever mess is left behind. It ends up seeming like tendentious or even disruptive editing, so I recommend taking more care when editing articles. --Mechamutoh (talk) 04:25, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

I'm glad you took my criticism constructively, it's really good to know that you had no ill will on your part! May the "adoption" by a more senior user help you in improving your edits. I'm not very experienced myself, being content with just fixing little issues and doing minor edits here and there, so I have to admit that some of your edits forced me out of my comfort zone which can be frustrating. Now you know what was behind the stern tone of my message, for which I apologize. 👀 But in hindsight I must thank you for the experience, it helped me with improving my own skills. I like editing historical and linguistic articles of all sorts. I know a lot about these topics but have some trouble using Wikipedia specifically. I have been working on fixing my form all day with the help of admins, and it's been paying off. I live in Sydney, Australia: it is nighttime here!
