The article William Ernest Weeks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable in his own right. He gets passing mention in all of the reliable sources or is simply named in them. issuu.com is far from a reliable source, and that is the only entry that is even close to being WP:SIGCOV.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:59, 11 February 2021 (UTC) (:) Thank you Walter Görlitz for expressing your concerns. I share your energy to keep Wikipedia accurate, but do not agree with you in this case. The Issuu article is a stored article from United K-pop (https://unitedkpop.com) and their UKP-magazine, which I experience as one of the most established of the relatively few editorial niche magazines in the West that write about K-pop, and most of the internal links in turn link to lists like Oricon and Billboard's copyright information. Together with information on mr Weeks social media, website, and what other songwriters within J-pop and K-pop's write in their social media, as well as information on the Asian sub-publishers web and communication channels (https://soundgraphics.net/en/creators/willie-weeks), it verifies that the person in the article is the one he is claimed to be. That the above is not linked is of course because they are not official sources, yet they paint a consistent picture that is strengthened by the article from United K-pop as well as the copyright information. I agree that this article can be built on more links, which the community can contribute with me, but that it should be deleted I object. Quite contrary the article seems similar to other Wikipedia articles about songwriters and producers in K-pop and J-pop. I believe the shortage of coverage rather expresses that the musicians behind K-pop and J-pop are quite neglected areas on Wikipedia, as well as in the western consciousness in general, compared to how big the genres have become these last years. But I believe that this will change with the spread of the genre and I hope that both you and I could add content and enrich these this part of wikipedia together with the rest of the community. Since I'm pretty new to contributing to Wikipedia, please elaborate on how this article is different from other articles about similar songwriters in J-pop and K-pop and your thoughts about what internal and external linking that could make the article better. Have a nice day! Kindest regards Gazt1 (talk) 07:53, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Fatal Love (album), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Nangears (talk) 15:48, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
