Velouté sauce
editHi there, Thanks for your edit to Velouté sauce. I had to remove part of your contribution because it did not cite a source.
Please also remember not to use the minor edits check for anything other than vandalism or grammar changes.
Cheers, AussieWikiDan (talk) 15:25, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- Strongly disagree with your edit. You could have included the 'citation needed' template instead. Dawkin Verbier (talk) 02:25, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
Salut Frenchguycooking!
editHi Alex! I just came here from your video on YouTube, and I found your Wikipedia account. >:)
Would you consider also writing the Mother Sauces article in French as well? I think it could perhaps be a way for you to better express your thoughts (Parce que vous êtes français, oui? Et l'avant il fallait que vous ayez traduit vos pensées à l'anglais. Donc, je crois que ça sera plus naturel pour vous à écrire la même article en français. Sorry for my bad French haha, je suis un canadien (anglophone)) I think writing it in French gives the article more legitimacy, it provides a backup to the English article, it makes it more accessible, etc.
Keep up the great work! Love your vids, too (the cinematography is top-notch)

- If I can be of any help with the french Wikipédia… (I only have discovered the YT episode with WP refs tonight…) Bien « cordonbleu'dialement », and happy wikipedialing ! -- @Éric38fr (come chat & let's share a drink), Grenoble (France), 00:21, 10 January 2021 (UTC).
- (A bit later) So you did create this article, which has been quite a bit active since, and has been seen almost 100 000 times since recreation ! Not bad for a relatively new contributor, nice success (and well deserved). -- @Éric38fr (come chat & let's share a drink), Grenoble (France), 00:47, 10 January 2021 (UTC).
Welcome!
editSalut Alex!
I love your YouTube channel and I'm really impressed with the scholarship you showed and how responsibly you represented Wikipedia editing in the recent episode. Welcome to Wikipedia!
By the way, if you like, you can also create User:Frenchguycooking, so that your username won't show up in red, and so that people who don't know you from YouTube can see who you are. --Slashme (talk) 20:10, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Here to say the same. Merci! إيان (talk) 07:57, 11 March 2023 (UTC)
4th welcome!
editHi there,
We don't normally duplicate our welcomes so much, but I thought I'd drop my own. I was directed to your video through the wiki discord, enjoyed that, and went to have a look at the article. Would absolutely encourage you to write a version of it on fr-wiki, if and when you have the time.
I also hope you stick around and add to more articles that your future projects might inform you on Nosebagbear (talk) 20:15, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
