Thanks for uploading Image:RDB soundtrack.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

FIAPF Award

edit

A tag has been placed on FIAPF Award, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WP:FILMS Questionnaire

edit

As a member of WikiProject Films, you are invited to take part in the project's first questionnaire. It is intended to gauge your participation and views on the project. At the conclusion of the questionnaire, the project's coordinators will use the gathered feedback to find new ways to improve the project and reach out to potential members. The results of the questionnaire will be published in next month's newsletter. If you know of any editors who have edited film articles in the past, please invite them to take part in the questionnaire. Please stop by and take a few minutes to answer the questions so that we can continue to improve our project. Happy editing!

Filmfare

edit

Your new format for the Filmfare award is simply amazing. Thank you so much for your hard work doing that. I was planning to do that a long time ago. Regards, ShahidTalk2me 09:45, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, honestly I don't have that strong feelings regarding the issue. However, the Academy awards for example were also in the format I did until some anon changed them all. I also think that there is no relation between films and awards. The article is covering the awards, not the films so IMO should be in the relevant years.
Another reason I changed it was that the years do not necessarily reflect the year's release year. Junoon, for example, is a 1978 film. But the award was given in 1980.
What do you think? ShahidTalk2me 17:33, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Fine. I'll also consult with someone. Regards, ShahidTalk2me 18:27, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Cloud Door

edit

I wanted to nominate your article, The Cloud Door, for DYK. The part you removed I was going to use for the hook. Do you not want me to nominate the article? (You would get DYK credit if it appears on the main page). Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 01:18, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I nominated it here: DYK: Articles created or expanded on March 5. We can offer alternate hooks (as many as we want), and sometimes the DYK editors make suggestions or change it. If you look in the main page, at the lower left corner, that's where the DYKs appear. I think they show about 8 at a time, and they switch them several times a day. So, even if the hook is accepted, it takes some days to appear. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 01:48, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The Ziegler reference that we are using says "For the first time, despite a treasury of native erotic art and literature, an Indian erotic film had been made by Mani Kaul, the aesthete among Indian filmmakers, and could be seen at the festival."[1] Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 20:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I reworded the plot section, as the DYK editors complained that it was a cut/paste from one of the references. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 01:30, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
See my message regarding the plot on my talk page. —Mattisse (Talk) 11:15, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi E.,

I did rv your rv in Talk:Apocalypse Now, versions 281808402 281727728. Reason is that it is not supposed to be called vandalism. E.g. since I carefully noted the edit. Could it be that the use of Wp:TW skipped a reding check? Could you take an other look at it too? Thanx. -DePiep (talk) 01:08, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Movies list

edit

Hi - I came across that page while patrolling the old "new pages." My suggestion for references was in the line of adding discussions of the award, who chooses the films, what its focus is and that sort of thing.
