Kyoto Electronics

edit

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. I'm just wondering why you passed Kyoto Electronics as patrolled rather than tag it as needing reliable third party sources, or as an advertisement. At first glance it could even be a possible WP:CSD#G11 and a suspected case of block evasion by User talk:Pvt.Billinghurst. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:47, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

More

edit

Me again. Sorry to badger you but I came across a few more items:

I would think there are still a few things about NPP you're not quite sure about. Quality of patrolling is far more important than speed, so if you're not sure what to do about an article, it's perfectly OK to give it a miss and leave it for another patroller. Patrolling isn't just looking foor articles to delete, it's also very much about putting the right maintenance tags on them so they get noticed and improved by the creator or other editors if the patroller is unable to fix them. My suggestion is that you read the latest recently updated page at WP:NPP, because we've added a lot more advice to it, and if you still get stuck, just come over to my talk page and tell me about it. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:14, 26 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I will admit that I have passed a few pages that shouldn't have been passed. Some of the pages I pass are pages that are so strange that I just don't know what to do with them, since some pages like that don't fall under a speedy deletion criterion. I will be more careful in the future about marking pages as patrolled. --Djc wi (talk) 06:04, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Amanda roadmen

edit

i dont understand? why isn't that significant? She's a very well known model ........ extremely well known actually and upcoming actress! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amanda9909 (talkcontribs) 07:02, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

First, I ask that you please read the instructions for my talk page before using it. They're at the top. Secondly, the issue is not with the subject of the article. It is with the article itself. Even if she is a well-known model, how is someone who has never heard of her (such as myself) supposed to know this. That is the first and second issue. The article is unreferenced and, thus, its notability is in question. The other issues are less important than these two. Do you need help with the process of providing references? --Djc wi (talk) 07:08, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
You do not have forever to improve the article. I've been waiting for a response from you for 30 minutes. If you do not communicate with me or improve the article yourself, it will be nominated for deletion under Criterion A7. --Djc wi (talk) 07:38, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
It looks like you waited too long. Someone has nominated the article for deletion. Luckily for you, though, it is a proposed deletion, which takes about 7 days, as opposed to an A7 speedy deletion, which can take as short as an hour. If I were you, I would improve the article now. If you need help, you can always message me. When the article is done, it should meet this criteria. If it doesn't, it will be re-nominated for deletion. --Djc wi (talk) 08:00, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

See WP:VRS for the basic idea.  Chzz  ►  08:01, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

First off ..... I AM NOT AMANDA ROADMEN, I never claimed to be either. So i did NOT "create an article about myself" I have created SEVERAL different models/actresses/actors pages on here ..... and i have never ever been accused or confronted about it. I don't know what your problem is. If it gets deleted, i'll just create a new one. :) goodluck getting them all deleted ;) Amanda Roadmen is a well known model who's also a beauty pageant winner, there are atleast over 200 women on here who have wikepedias that have won beauty pageants ..... I didn't do anything wrong and FYI almost every model/actor or someone that represents them creates a wikepedia page you obviously don't know shit about the entertainment business you're just a little wikepedia nerd who thinks they know everything, Like I said .... get it deleted and i'll just make a new one ...and ill keep creating new ones until one sticks ;) and don't bother blocking my IP or internet sever IP because I have plenty of net servers and plenty of computers ;) so keep that in mind sweet cheeks! tata! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amanda9909 (talkcontribs) 08:21, 28 May 2011

II removed the warning I placed on Dorianjamesvary's talk page as I realised afterwards that the link was relevant and spotted your new user tag, as such I felt the warring was not appropriate. Is it againt the guidelines to remove warnings you have placed yourself in error? --Wintonian (talk) 09:44, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removing your comment was an honest mistake. I did not check to see who put it there and assumed it was Dorianjamesvary. However, if I'm not mistaken, links to Facebook pages are not appropriate for Wikipedia. --Djc wi (talk) 09:49, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ah ok, I was just a bit confused, mind you I make mistakes all the time. Offical links are normaly ok in the external links section see: WP:ELOFFICIAL. --Wintonian (talk) 09:56, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Half past four

edit

Hello Djc wi. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Half past four, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: There are some references and there is the movie soundtrack. Together it makes enough of a credible claim to notability to pass A7. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 19:34, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

You removed a speedy deletion tag (G3) saying "not blatant enough"--and the article said the subject lives "with Myley cyrus and Joseph Smith, Jr." on some island, sourced to this. Please look before you leap. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 04:40, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Care to explain? it is clearly not encyclopedic. CTJF83 07:42, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree, but it is also not spam as it was tagged. Quite frankly, I don't think the article meets any speedy deletion criteria. I think that a proposed deletion or move as suggested on the page would be more appropriate. --Djc wi (talk) 07:44, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Userspace subpages

edit

It is only because you have been a productive contributor in the past that I'm giving you a chance at this.

Those userspace subpages you have, about the "New Mainstream" and such? Either that's fiction, or they're so low-profile that they're impossible to find any evidence of. Either way, it's unacceptable to have this on Wikipedia. I'll give you a week to come back, notice this warning, and then either fix those or add {{db-u1}} to them (thereby marking them for deletion). If you haven't done so by the end of a week, I'll delete 'em anyway. DS (talk) 16:54, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

You seem rather inactive so I got WP:BOLD. I was starting an article on her when a google search found the article in your sandbox. I made some updates and enhancements before moving the article to article space. I just moved the album article that you had worked up. I knew it was time to write an article for her so I was pleased to find that you had done most of the legwork. Thank you! Royalbroil 05:16, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

The page ForeverRedeemed/F.R.E.E. (band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Proposed deletion of Yellow Cavalier (EP)

edit

The article Yellow Cavalier (EP) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable EP from a band that later changed names and is notable. Only reference is to an empty database entry.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
