Contributing to Wikipedia

Hallo Dan, I've just come across the article Stephen Woolfenden which is mostly written by you, and see that you've had a few problems with other articles. Please slow down and learn a little more about writing for this encyclopedia.

• We use capital letters, as in normal English, and especially for surnames of people (both in article titles and in text)
• We use normal English grammar. That means writing in proper sentences and not just stringing everything together.
• We give references for all information, but most especially for information about living people: tell us where you found out what you're writing. Was it a book, a newspaper, a website? The encyclopedia needs to know.
• Please link to other Wikipedia articles where appropriate.
• If you're creating an article and the person's name isn't unique so it needs "disambiguation", a word like "director" goes in brackets - so your Richard Senior article should have been just at Richard Senior, but if there was already someone else of that name, then at Richard Senior (director).

There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it's an interesting journey. Just slow down and learn, and aim to create a well-crafted article rather than a whole lot of rather inadequate unsourced, unlinked, stubs which are likely to be deleted and/or to try the patience of other editors.
