Proposed deletion of Stephen woolfenden edit

Hello, Dan jeffs. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Stephen woolfenden, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Stephen woolfenden to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Proposed deletion of Stephen woolfenden edit

The article Stephen woolfenden has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Speedy deletion nomination of Mat King edit

Hello Dan jeffs,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mat King for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks,

Speedy deletion nomination of Richard senior director edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Richard senior director requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 20:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Contributing to Wikipedia edit

Hallo Dan, I've just come across the article Stephen Woolfenden which is mostly written by you, and see that you've had a few problems with other articles. Please slow down and learn a little more about writing for this encyclopedia.

  • We use capital letters, as in normal English, and especially for surnames of people (both in article titles and in text)
  • We use normal English grammar. That means writing in proper sentences and not just stringing everything together.
  • We give references for all information, but most especially for information about living people: tell us where you found out what you're writing. Was it a book, a newspaper, a website? The encyclopedia needs to know.
  • Please link to other Wikipedia articles where appropriate.
  • If you're creating an article and the person's name isn't unique so it needs "disambiguation", a word like "director" goes in brackets - so your Richard Senior article should have been just at Richard Senior, but if there was already someone else of that name, then at Richard Senior (director).

There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia, but it's an interesting journey. Just slow down and learn, and aim to create a well-crafted article rather than a whole lot of rather inadequate unsourced, unlinked, stubs which are likely to be deleted and/or to try the patience of other editors. Thanks. PamD 19:38, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sherlock the empty hearse edit

The article Sherlock the empty hearse has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced article about future episode of tv series. Wait for reliable sources before writing an article - and then use a few capital letters and some punctuation, please. This is an encyclopedia, not a fanzine.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 22:05, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

May 2013 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Sherlock the empty hearse, did not appear to be constructive. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.

You have already been asked to write using capital letters as appropriate and proper sentences. If you cannot, or cannot be bothered to do so, then you should perhaps not be writing for this encyclopedia. PamD 22:09, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
