User talk:Youtube

Hello, Cutlass,

You tagged this for speedy deletion as the work of a blocked sockpuppet. While technically true, this was a bad tagging for several reasons. First, this editor has not been active for over 14 years. I don't know how you stumbled across their user page. Secondly, this blocked editor didn't even post to his talk page so he didn't create this page. Finally, we only delete user talk pages in exceptional circumstances, that is, if there is BLP-violating material or copyright infringement content. There was no problems with the user talk page and so there was no reason for deletion.

You might review Criteria for Speedy Deletion to better understand the limited criteria for a speedy deletion, what pages they apply to and when PROD or AFD/TFD/CFD applies. If you have questions, you can always visit the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:20, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your Karen edit

Thanks for your removal of the Michigan university rule not to use "Karen" as a tongue-in-cheek thing. It was placed in another section by someone else and moved by me without realizing it was a joke. --D.g.lab. (talk) 21:48, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for your work on the Karen page as well. CutlassCiera 21:50, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 29

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Fort Osage High School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Truman High School. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:53, 29 April 2021 (UTC)

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:57, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

Changes reverted.

Why have you reverted my changes on Lakiesha Williams' page. All were cited and justified? MTBowe (talk) 14:58, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

@MTBowe: I thought they were promotional, as the "Media coverage" section seems to give minor promotion, and so I reverted it. You can undo that edit, but please remove the "Media coverage" section, as it can cause you problems. Thanks, CutlassCiera 16:24, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

Same Thing Again

This is the same guy that is blocked for a year because of persistent disruptive editing. He is using a new ip address 172.58.188.128. Oshwah and Wugapodes were of great help last time but it's better than more than one person complains about him. Just go to Wugapodes talk page and Oshwah talk page and just say what he is doing persistent disruptive editing. And it's the same person from last time. That was blocked for a year and has about 6 months to go. Anyway please do it, it's better that more than just one person complains about his nonsense. Thanks, Doriden (talk) 02:13, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

I could kind of tell that that IP knew that he was being disruptive and had probably done it before. They are blocked now; I reported them to AIV. Thanks, CutlassCiera 02:16, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Disruptive Behavior

Mr.Cutlass, yes this guy has been doing this nonsense for a few years and keeps doing it over again. Another ip address that he was using is currently blocked for a year. Same subject matter and same kind of fixation thing with him. Now the ip address is blocked for 31 hours, what about the other ip address that he was using earlier 172.58.188.128? He'll be back at it in 30 hours. Oshwah and Wugapodes were very helpful getting him blocked on the other ip address that he was using, it was a long one. Thanks for your assistance, Doriden (talk) 02:57, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

If he starts again with the nonsense after that block (which appears to be likely), I will talk to them. However, for now, I will wait and see. CutlassCiera

Cutlass, good evening, regarding the block on that persistent disruptive editing person, Wugapodes said that it's a range block and when the 31 hours expire it'll still be blocked along with the other 172 address for 6 months. Anyway, thanks for your assistance. Doriden (talk) 02:01, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi

Hi i need some information on some wiki’s update N singh 9 (talk) 16:34, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

@N singh 9: What needs updating? Can you elaborate what needs updating? CutlassCiera 16:35, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi

Why it is supposed to be deleted? 196.156.7.94 (talk) 18:10, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

The article was created by a person that is now blocked from Wikipedia. Policy here is to delete these articles if they have been almost completely and only edited by that user. CutlassCiera 18:11, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Mari Kraimbrery

Has Russian citizenship. Calvinn1 (talk) 17:46, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

@Calvinn1: I reverted this edit because I have no idea how rusprofile.ru is a reliable source, and having citizenship of a country does not make you now a "Russian", instead, take this to the talk page about this issue before changing it. There are already sources that support Ukranian, so taking it to the talk page would be a good idea. Thanks, CutlassCiera 17:49, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Cutlass, rusprofile this is a site that takes data from the Russian registry. He is much more authoritative. And, for your information, the singer's activities have nothing to do with Ukraine. She became famous, lives, performs in Russia. Just because she was born there doesn't make her a Ukrainian singer :) Calvin (talk) 17:51, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Calvinn1: I feel like adding Russo-Ukrainian could be a possible compromise. I do notice the Russian Wikipedia lists her as Russian in the lead, while saying in the infobox Russo-Ukrainian. CutlassCiera 17:56, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Cutlass Em. No. "Muz-TV" and "7 Days" are not 100% authoritative sources, since they do not have dates and times. Calvinn1 (talk) 17:58, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
@Calvinn1: Actually, looking at those sites, they appear to not be very reliable overall. Feel free to add Russian back. Thanks, CutlassCiera 18:01, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

"Jean Charest" Page Vandalism

User 65.93.217.175 acted in bad faith in their vandalism of the "Jean Charest" page (16:30 10 march 2022). Please issue a stage-3 warning and elevate page to semi-protected status. T.y. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.3.246.133 (talk) 04:52, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi 65.93.217.175, I'm not an admin, so I can't upgrade the protection, nor does it really need to be protected as the only vandal edit was the one I reverted. That vandal had only made a single edit there, so I only gave them one warning. Thanks, CutlassCiera 12:56, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

ITN recognition for Rupiah Banda

On 12 March 2022, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Rupiah Banda, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. PFHLai (talk) 21:33, 12 March 2022 (UTC)

Sonic 3 Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson's involvement has been confirmed by Buxer, Cirocco, and one other dude. Shouldn't we just add him as uncredited instead of completely removing his name. The only thing that says that his involvement was removed was Sega, Naoto Oshima and possibly others at Sega. Howard Drossin said he barely fixed Jackson's music and so I would still credit him as uncredited. Aalji (talk) 11:39, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

@Aalji:I reverted this because it explicitly said in a hidden comment to not add him as he was not credited and his involvment is subject to debate. Please take this to the talk page instead, as the last discussion of this was 2009, so it may be different, but the hidden comment still stands for now. CutlassCiera 11:54, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

That persistent disruptive editing person 172.58.172.5. Doing this same thing. Doriden (talk) 16:17, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

@Doriden: Alright, contact an admin again and they should be able to deal with it. Thanks, CutlassCiera 16:51, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

It would be better if you did too, the better it is with more than ONE person complaining about it. Thank you Doriden (talk) 16:53, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

@Doriden: Looks like they have been blocked by Ohnoitsjamie. CutlassCiera 16:56, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Great, now they all have to be reverted. What does he get out of this? He has a long history of doing this nonsense. And its mostly useless stuff anyway. But he wants to have it in his own phrasing. OCD, or maybe he feels a sense of power. Can you please revert the Jersey city fire Department. I'm on a mobile device and it's a pain in the neck. Thank you Doriden (talk) 17:01, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

@Doriden: I have went through and reverted all of their edits, including the Jersey City Fire Department one. If I missed any, please tell me. Thanks for bringing this up. CutlassCiera 17:03, 25 March 2022 (UTC)

Consensus on Rancho Tehama

Hello, could you direct us to the consensus discussion you refer to? Cheers, Fettlemap (talk) 21:43, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

@Fettlemap: Talk:Tops Friendly Markets#Buffalo edit war CutlassCiera 21:51, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

September 2022

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Japan Air Lines Flight 123. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. 2404:0:8021:A622:6511:5DEC:43B6:B1FD (talk) 06:28, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your edit @Cutlass in the article JAT Flight 367, you are right! It doesn’t make since on why the creator uploaded that photo into wikimedia commons even though it has all rights reserved on it in flickr, its original source. I really didn’t realize because when I was using the photo, it showed that some rights were reserved. Thank you very much and be safe! Javyriv (talk) 22:08, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
