Hi. I have deleted Editing Robin Reid (boxer) if you would like to make the move. Kind regards, --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 21:35, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

The word "Shehar"

Yes you are correct that the Urdu word "shehar" means "city." However, it is a very common word that is used as a term to refer to "city-side" of a specific town, region or district etc. as well.....For example, just assume that a villager at random says " I am going to Shehar"....Now if he says that "I am going to shehar", he will either mean that he is going to a city or he can also mean that he is going to the "city-side" or what can be termed as the CBD. Since i speak the language, all it is it's just an informal word or expression to refer to it......Hope u understand what I mean :P —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ali-Rana-77 (talkcontribs) 05:51, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Areop-Enap

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Areop-Enap, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Completely unsourced, possible hoax

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Afghanistan

Hi Green Giant. I just want you to know that I have reverted your latest edit in Afghanistan. The subject is very controversial (especially in Afghanistan) and should not simply be dealt with a small note. Your edit gives the wrong impression that the word "Afghan" is sourced and that there are no alternatives (because most readers do not check or read every footnote). Personally, I preferre mentioning all three expressions in the box, but 2 years ago, that lead to an annoying edit war. That's why I created the current version, mentioning only the word "Afghan" in the box and letting the reader know that there are also important alternatives (the subject has created much debate, fights, and even murder in Afghanistan!). Your version is indeed an easier layer, but it also gives a totally false impression and "hides" the improtance of the subject. Regards. Tajik (talk) 11:02, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Thank you very much. Please think about my suggestion to put all 3 versions in the box and then only site the references (as your concerns are indeed valid). Tajik (talk) 11:08, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Kazhakstan

How is adding the national anthem to a country page vandalism?? And the running of the jew is a major festival, I watched a documentary about kazhakstan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.188.69.229 (talk) 01:37, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Tamer Hosni page

why do you keep deleting my post from tamer hosni page??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 07:17, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

the opinion i put represents a huge amount of mainstream opinion on tamer hosny..and many egyptian newspapers expressed the same opinion i expressed in the article..and i labeled it ---->being hated, explaining the nature of the article..i am not slandering him..if i get reference to couple of sites, will u stop with ur warnings and deleting of my post? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 08:29, 9 August 2009

since you are here to help...how can i complain about you to the administrators?..i was looking but could find a way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 08:12, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

i want to complain about the double standards in treatment..you deleted my post and gave me two warnings because u think my opinion was not professional , meanwhile you left the other postings on the page that arent real and posted by tamer hosny himself or his dedicated fans..he is posted as the best arab pop star, and that is not true on any level and irrational, because he is a new singer, and these kind of postings piss me off and many others and its inaccurate information..yet u chose to delete my post and warn me and you left the rest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 09:46, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

"If you had continued, I would have reported you and we wouldn't be having this conversation." you can report me , i would careless..i didnt mean opinion, what i meant the information i am sharing based on the media and an important newspaper like Al Ahram, you can google it and check its reliability in the region..and yes i will complain about you because this web is designed to be a reliable source of information whether you agree or disagree..as long as the reliable referance exists that backs up the article..this is suppose to be an encyclopedia not a pop star commerical page..so all information should be included (which is reliable and backed with reference)whether its in his favor or not, as long as its issued in an approperiate language. and yes i was editing before creating the account , i created the account so anyone who had any problem with what i posted could contact me and tell me the flaws in my article instead of deleting and banning me , dictator like behaviour.just one last question. are you tamer hosny fan? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 11:09, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

thats what i just asked you..if i back up my information with reliable accurate source and references, will you let it be and stop reverting and warnings? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 11:46, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

and by the way i dont even listen to arabic music whether its amr diab or tamer hosny , i am a metalhead. but praising tamer hosny and using wiki as a commerical page and spreading lies for tamer hosny , gets on my nerves because he is a bad example of egyptian youth and he was in jail..and there he is being praised in wikipedia..if what was there is true i wouldnt have complained, but it was nothing but advertisments for tamer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ticaz (talkcontribs) 11:53, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Seems valid. The person emailing (the grandson of the subject) referred to Jagannath Azad as "Jagan Nath Azad", but I'd go with whatever the sources call him. J Milburn (talk) 09:40, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Green Giant: Thank you for all the time and effort you recently spent on Argentina. The article, at over 160,000 kb, was too long, and all your trimming definitely improved and made it more inviting.

If you'd like, looking over the Chile, Cuba, and Mexico articles might not be a bad idea, as these are also quite wordy (Cuba's, especially).

Please let me know if I can ever help with anything, and thanks again.

Israel layout

I've posted to the article talk page. As I stated there, I strongly believe that when changes are only visible on the source page, then collective WP:OWNership should be granted to those who contribute content to the page to decide which source page layout they find most useful.--Peter cohen (talk) 09:55, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

I reverted three of your edits to this article. The reasons I indicated in the edit summaries. Although I recognise that you sincerely tried to improve this article, it might be worthwhile to discuss things first on the talkpage. Debresser (talk) 18:46, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
