Scientists edit

I'm delighted to see your work in adding articles on notable scientists--I gather you intend to comprehensively add those from your list of those at the MPI--and Isee your similar work at the deWP. As you do, possibly I can give you some hints from my experience working mainly on this subject field at enWP for the last 12 years. Though I do not write articles at the deWP, I have translated and revised translations of articles from there , and there are some noteworthy differences.

The enWP does not encourage articles in list or outline format, or divided into multiple small sections. Biographies of academic are usually divided into Biography and education, Academic Career, Honours, and Publications, with sometimes a section of Public career, if appropriate. In the publications section for those whose notability is derived from published books, we list all the books, and give references though not quotations from 3rd party reviews--usually keeping successive editions and translations together. If there are multiple major books, we do not usually list journal articles also, unelss there are a frew of special importance. For people in fields where notability is from peer-reviewed articles, we normally list the most cited, using data from Google Scholar or Scopus or WoS. If we need to make refernece to a complete list, we add it as an external link--ideally, we should have an external link to the full academic CV, as well as to whatever is the personal web page.

Sourcing in the enWP is typically more detailed than in the deWP--in particular, for biographies of living people, every paragraph at least must have a reliable source, specified inline according to WP:REFBEGIN--we do not rely on the sort of general references customary in the deWP (I'm not saying our way is better, but such specific references are our requirement). Normally, I would move a bio like that of Jacqueline Knörr to draft spacem because it does not have them, but considering your experience, I'm going to wait a few days for you to fix them. (Yes, I could fix them myself, but it's your responsibility--I try to check asmany articles as possible, so I can't fix them all myself). And, incidentally, I'm a little surprised you didn;t add it to the deWP as well.

If I can help you with anything, please let me know on my user talk page. DGG ( talk ) 01:43, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jacqueline Knörr edit

Hello, Cholo Aleman,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Kingsif and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jacqueline Knörr, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Kingsif}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Jacqueline Knörr moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Jacqueline Knörr, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Mario Markus moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Mario Markus, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 13:15, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have sent you a note about a page you started edit

Hello, Cholo Aleman. Thank you for your work on Max Planck Law. Klbrain, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

The subject is important, but the page has required quite a bit of work to get up to standard. It's never a good idea to start a page with the justification of ignore all rules, and in this case is wasn't necessary. Remember to consolidate references for concision, keep external links out of the body of the text and write from a neutral point of view.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
