America West on Punta Cana Airport edit

Just to let you know that America West Airlines does not exist anymore. It merged with US Airways in 2005 and the merged airline is "US Airways". Before the merger America West never flew to Charlotte. All of its flights are operated by US Airways now. Cheers! Cashier freak (talk) 02:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, actually according to America West's destinations lists. The airline never flew to Punta Cana prior to the merger. Cashier freak (talk) 21:48, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

An exciting opportunity to get involved! edit

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 23:54, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

User page moving edit

I have moved your user and user talk page back to the correct place. If you would like a user re-name please make a request at WP:CHU, which will result in all edits also being updated to your new account name. Do not just move your user page as it causes confusion. Image uploads edit

I am rather concerned about a number of your image uploads [1]. A few seem to contain watermarking such as File:COA753nDAL738@STI.JPG, despite the fact you claim their yours? Others such as File:STI airport simulation.jpg do not have a clear source. Unless I receive a response from you on these uploads I may mass delete some which appear to be copyright violations, or list others at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files. Camaron · Christopher · talk 19:49, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have speedy deleted watermarked images you have uploaded which are clearly copyright violations - for them to be watermarked they must have been taken from a website, and images are usually watermarked as an anti-copyright violation measure. I have marked many of your images as having no source information i.e. they do not say where the image came from. Do they come from a website? Did you physically take the pictures yourself with a camera? A few others I have marked, such as File:STI airport diagram2.png, are missing evidence of permission i.e. you have sourced the image to somewhere/someone else but provided no evidence that they have released the image on the licence you have given. The tagged images are scheduled for deletion on Thursday 24 September 2009 if the issues highlighted are not resolved.

I have left images that you claim are your own work alone for now, but I remain concerned given the evidence above on if my definition of 'own work' is the same as yours. For it to be your own work, and hence have the copyright and right to release under a licence for Wikipedia, you must have created the image. The effort of taking it from a website, perhaps making some modifications, and then uploading it is not enough. For a photo 'own work' means you must have physically taken the photo, is this case in your uploads? Copyright is taken very seriously on Wikipedia, as the addition of copyrighted material undermines efforts to create a free encyclopedia. Nomination of World Merengue Airways for deletion edit

A discussion has begun about whether the article World Merengue Airways, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/World Merengue Airways until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Per aspera ad Astra (talk) 13:13, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:AALB738STI.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:AALB738STI.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:35, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for April 4 edit

Hi. When you recently edited List of the busiest airports in the Caribbean, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Nassau and Puerto Plata (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disruptive editing edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Template:Largest cities of the Dominican Republic. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Nacho   ★ 02:48, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
