Speedy deletion nomination of Tim Lister edit

A tag has been placed on Tim Lister, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. Nomination of Tim Lister for deletion edit
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Tim Lister is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tim Lister until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

- Hi, in case the above leaves you none the wiser about what to do, the key thing is to provide sources that are reliable, independent of Lister, and that show he is the subject of substantial attention. Thus, a brief mention in a listing that he is giving a talk does not qualify; nor does anything in a blog (unless by a journalist on his/her newspaper's website); nor does anything written by Lister himself; nor does a passing mention in a serious article. What does qualify is a discussion of his work in an independent book, journal article, conference paper, or institution's website. About three such sources would save the article. Hope this helps. As an aside, I'm a relative novice at editing and very much impressed with how these deliberations work. Whatever the outcome, the process strikes me as fair and fairly administered.
