Honorifics edit

Do not add honorific prefix and suffix as per WP:NCIN policy. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:37, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

The prefix of Honourable Jathedar is not under WP:NCIN policy. - BorisTheBulgar

Every thing is, the list is not exhaustive. It includes The Honourable, Ji, Guru as examples. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:45, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, you sure, because honourable jathedar is the offical title of the leader of the Sikhs at the Akal Takht? - BorisTheBulgar

January 2021 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Udham Singh Nagoke. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Do not be disruptive. This is the policy Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:52, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

And again, you haven't responded. In your opinion it is vandalism. Provide a source where the Jathedars of the Akal Takht are not referred to as 'Honourable Jathedar'. Until then, I will be editing official titles. Moreover, the honorific of Honourable Jathedar is not under WP:NCIN policy, as stated above. - BorisTheBulgar

Honorifics are only applicable if the WP:COMMONNAME of the person has that, for example Mahatma Gandhi, See MOS:HONORIFICS also. Official title are not allowed, we do not mention President as an honorific in Donald Trump's article for example. And DO NOT EDIT WAR. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:55, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

The warning was not necessary, all had to do was explain your actions and comments. Have a good day. - BorisTheBulgar

Then you should have waited for the other one to respond. This is one of the core policies of Wikipedia. I was typing my above comment when you published your changes. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:59, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I shall be better next time. I am sorry. - BorisTheBulgar

That's OK. I'll post you a list of links on how Wikipedia works  . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:02, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you haha, I shall read the rules and procedures before my next edit :'). - BorisTheBulgar

This → [[Jathedar|Honorable Jathedar]] should be changed to [[Jathedar]] in Arur Singh Naushera article's "title parameter" since the article name (WP:COMMONNAME) in Wikipedia is Jathedar and not "Honourable Jathedar". It is akin to using "Honourable Prime Minister" for the position instead of Prime Minister in the Manmohan Singh article. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 19:16, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I will revert any Honorable Jathedar changes I have made today, and change it to Jathedar. Thank you for explaining it to me. All i'm gonna do on wiki is change infobox's haha, the article contents are always overcomplicated - BorisTheBulgar
