Ways to improve Am Aschenberg, Germany

edit

Hi, I'm Pkbwcgs. BluePankow, thanks for creating Am Aschenberg, Germany!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add some categories to this page and link from other pages to this page in order to de-orphan this. However, this is a good start to what will be an interesting article about a German City.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Pkbwcgs (talk) 09:35, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Will make some improvements on the article. Thanks for the tips! BluePankow 09:42, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Taxonomy categories

edit

Thank you for the toast sandwich. You've been doing good work creating Lithops articles. However, you shouldn't be placing articles in both Category:Lithops and Category:Aizoaceae. As Lithops is already a subcategory of Aizoaceae, it's is redundant to include the Aizoaceae category. Taxa should only be placed in one taxonomy category, and that category should be for the lowest taxonomic rank for which a category exists (if you ever find yourself creating a large number of articles on species in a genus where no genus category currently exists, feel free to create the genus category). Gotcha, thanks for the tip! BluePankow 22:24, 15 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello Randy's son!

edit

Thanks for the message. Sorry it took me so long. I barely remember how to do this so I'm not even sure if this is the right way to leave a user message anymore.

I hope you have a great time on this site and make some friends. I found it very rewarding while I was involved.

P.S. I know your real name of course, but I don't want to "doxx" you.

Hope to see you all soon Decumanus (talk) 17:01, 28 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Decumanus: Good to hear from you! No worries on the time; I totally get it. Life tends to steal my Wikipedia time as well. Thanks for not doxxing me haha. I haven't made too many friends yet. None at all actually. The community is not as fun as it used to be I don't think, and people are pretty cold and business-like. I suppose that makes sense, but I still haven't found anybody that's not like either a stuck up admin or just a not very inviting person. Then again, I haven't really put in the effort to get myself out there besides on edits either. Hope to see you soon too! Have a good one. BluePankow 16:04, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Bartheletiomycetes moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Bartheletiomycetes, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 94rain Talk 01:37, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Reliable references for common names

edit

Hi! Just wanted to drop a quick note that because anyone with an account can add common names to species/taxa on iNaturalist, it's not considered a reliable source for inclusion on Wikipedia. I replaced the reference at Andreaea rothii for "dusty rock moss" with one from NatureServe for "dusky rock moss". —Hyperik talk 18:52, 4 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

HyperikThank you! I won't add that as a source again. I appreciate the information. BluePankow 16:13, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
