Speedy deletion nomination of Hanna Zajc
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Hanna Zajc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JamesBWatson (talk) 23:06, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

—Preceding unsigned comment added by BjörnBergman (talk • contribs)
- If you "tjata och tjata", your block will be extended, perhaps indefinitely, on English Wikipedia as well, and your talk page protected. Harassment is forbidden on English Wikipedia. This is not an appropriate method for requesting unblocking on any project. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:34, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

- Björn, I have read your posts, but as you are aware you are blocked on swedisk wikipedia by me, but it was not my own decision, there was a long discussion and I have no intention of discussing that here on english wikipeda. All further discussion will be on sv:Wikipedia:Kommentarer om administreringen av Wikipedia. But with your present history of threatening other users you are excluded from editing on swedisk wikipedia and also your own talk page, and that is something you have to accept, you have already used to much time and energy from other users. The article Andreas Kundler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Needs reliable sources
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 21:16, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

References aren't inherited from other language versions of Wikipedia
editHello again,
Even if an article is a translation from a well-referenced article in another language version of Wikipedia, the article should have proper references, since these aren't inherited. Please refrain from deleting tags in general. If you believe a tag should be removed, please use the article talk page to explain why, especially if the tags have been added to pages that you have created yourself.

Everything is fine?
editHello, Björn.
You contacted me that you were worried about how things are going, but from what I can see of your edits on English Wikipedia under this account, everything seems to be going pretty okay since you were unblocked. You seem to be doing good work here, like creating articles on people like Per Morberg. People have left you advice concerning some of your edits, like referencing of articles, and this is important to take note of. It is especially important for biographies of living people, since we don't want to write things about them which are wrong. Living ppl who have had articles that have been wrong have sometimes become upset with us and caused unnecessary controversy (see for example Wikipedia biography controversy). I recommend that you try reading the links to various policy pages. It may take a while to learn the basics of the most important policies, but I'm sure you'll understand those basics if you give it some time.
In general, if people disagree with your edits and tell you why they disagree, read what they have to say and try learn from it. If you don't understand why they disagree with your edits, ask them nicely to explain what they think is wrong. It's very important that you don't try to push an issue by asking over and over when you don't agree.
If you have any problems here on English Wikipedia, please contact me on my talkpage. You don't need to explain the whole conflict if you do, just tell me which articles and users are involved (and describe it as neutrally and nicely as you can). If I don't reply at once, I'm probably busy, but will probably get back to you within a few days. If you get into a dispute, please remember to have patience. Sometimes dispute resolution takes time, sometimes up to a week or more.
sincerely,
Peter Isotalo 21:33, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
OK. I try to don't push other. Petter Strandmark sent an SMS to me, where he wrote that I can come back to the Swedish Wikipedia in the spring or in the summer. I have to say one thing to you, Peter, you don't need to speak English to me, even if this is an another language version.
- It's good to hear that Petter thinks you can come back in a few months. And it's also good that you're agreeing not to be pushy. I'm sure you can make a valuable contribution to Wikipedia. A good thing to remember, though, is that Wikipedia is a collective where everyone has to cooperate. One editor is never right and if you find yourself telling a large group of editors that they are all wrong, it's very probable that you might just be wrong yourself. Even if you are technically right, it will still be better not to push the issue since you need to convince people that you are right.
- I know we both know Swedish, but this is English Wikipedia. It might seem a bit strange that we are talking in a second language when we actually both know Swedish, but there's good reason for it. On English Wikipedia it's polite to always use English, just as everyone is expected to use Swedish on Swedish Wikipedia.
- Björn, also remember to always sign your posts with ~~~~. That way other editors will know it's you and also know when you made the post.

Moved deleted discussion threads to archive
editHello Björn,
I think it isn't a very good idea to delete old discussions thread completely, and I believe the normal process is moving threads to an archive when there hasn't been any new posts in a certain period of times (say, two weeks or a month). I have therefore created an Archive for this talk page, and moved all threads older than one month.

Please stop making useless redirects
editI can see from your list of contributions that you have made a number of redirects ([1] [2] [3] [4] etc etc) from article names that correspond with places in greater Stocholm to articles about the metro station with the same name.
I think this is counter-productive, since it makes creating an actual article about for instance Enskede gård more difficult for inexperienced users (you have to understand how to follow the fine print link to get back to the redirect page before you can start editing) and it doesn't make searching in Wikipedia any easier (a search for "Blåsut" already yields the "Blåsut metro station" article). - Tournesol (talk) 09:13, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
OK, excuse me Tournesol, but there is no article about the borough Enskede and then I did a redirect. I'm sorry...

I'd suggest you refrain from judging messages a "unnecessary"
editHello again Björn,
I see that you have deleted a large number of messages asking you to add references to the articles you have created, claiming that they are "unnecessary". I would suggest that instead if doing removing these messages, you try to do what these messages tell you to do, i.e. add references to the articles you have created.
Wikipedia is never any more reliable than its sources, which is why it would be much better if you spent a certain amount of time creating one well-sourced article instead of three non-sourced ones.
I would also suggest that you don't delete your talk page message threads, instead you move them to you archive page (see the first paragraph of this page) when they are old enough. I personally consider two to four weeks without any new posts is a reasonable age for a thread to be archived. - Tournesol (talk) 06:36, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- Please consider this a final warning. If you create any more unsourced biographies of living persons, I will be forced to block you from editing. NW (Talk) 22:03, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- NW, Issuing block warnings at this stage seems quite uncalled for. The content in these article is in no way damning or sensitive and Björn is clearly a newcomer. Block threats are serious reprimands that should be handed out to deal with serious issues.
- I suspect that Björn has a bit of trouble getting used to that things are done quite differently on English Wikipedia compared to the Swedish edition. Here the sensitivity to unreferenced articles on living people is very marked due in part to some media controversies (see Wikipedia biography controversy). So it's very important to have reliable sources for articles about living people even if they are merely translations of Swedish-language articles. The point is that Wikipedia isn't considered a reliable source in of itself, and it's never acceptable to use a Wikipedia article as a source, since this would mean that we would be referencing ourselves.
- Björn, with your experience of disputes at Swedish Wikipedia, I understand that you were a bit alarmed about the block warning from NW, but the solution here is very simple: just follow the advice and read up on policy here at English Wikipedia. If anything is unclear, ask about what you think is unclear or strange and point out that you're not out to disrupt, but merely have trouble getting used to how Wikipedia works.
- I must stress, however, that you should always try to first ask for help here on Wikipedia and not contact people on the phone. And please be patient. These things do not have to be resolved within a few hours, but should be allowed a few days or maybe even a week. In the mean time, try to engage in peaceful discussion with the person you're disagreeing with.
- Peter Isotalo 17:56, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Björn. My apologies if I sounded a bit frustrated and angry yesterday. I have been working on the living persons task force (which aims to produce a global living persons policy draft for the Foundation) for a while, and I was getting a bit frustrated with the fact that despite the best efforts of so many, new unsourced biographies of living persons were still being created. Peter has so graciously explained the importance of sourcing the unsourced biographies you have been creating for the past while. Please do ask me if you have any further questions. I am sure we could work this out without you being blocked or forced to leave. Best regards, NW (Talk) 22:27, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:12, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Björn, I count to over 20 warning messages from January to today for creating unreferenced BLPs, and still you apparently continue to add them. A friendly piece of advise: continuing to ignoring policies that have been repeatedly pointed out to you is not very smart or advisable - you should pay better attention to advice and warning messages. In English Wikipedia that's usually even more important than in Swedish Wikipedia, although I notice that you've actually run into less problems here. Best regards, Tomas e (talk) 13:10, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
