Replaceable non-free use File:Mark Moore in 2024.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Mark Moore in 2024.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:29, 7 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Whisper Aero

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Whisper Aero, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Bapple4747. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bapple4747. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bapple4747|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 11:00, 7 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am not being paid, and do not have any affiliation with Whisper Aero. Bapple4747 (talk) 21:56, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am going to repost what I had up, unless you can outline what was giving that impression at all in more detail, as I was only speaking in objective statements. Bapple4747 (talk) 21:57, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am a fan of the eVTOL industry as a whole and would like to build up the pages for companies all over the industry, just confused why this article has been so difficult with admins to write and maintain Bapple4747 (talk) 22:08, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you're planning to "repost what you had up", I can block you now and save the trouble. If you should do that, then that will be the result. So I would quite advise, well, not doing that. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:17, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then please provide some constructive criticism rather than that, I used credible news sources and only spoke in and objective sense. Bapple4747 (talk) 15:26, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not an exhaustive list, but from the very beginning: developing ultra-quiet, efficient, and scalable... (leave out the puff adjectives), which detail more about Whisper Aero’s technology and showcased how it can be integrated to enable the next generation of flight. (more brochure puffery, and "sourced" only to them; we'd be interested what independent sources say about them, not how they talk themself up), According to Whisper Aero’s website, the “Whisper Jet" aims to... (again, don't care what it "aims to" do, but what independent sources confirm it has actually done), Whisper Aero unveiled their WhisperDriveTM (articles should never use trademark symbols), and the rest goes on and on like that talking up the company and the stuff they're selling. Articles must be strictly neutral in tone, and in no way "talk up" anyone or anything, and articles about companies or products should be written from independent sources, since of course the company will talk itself and its stuff up. Seraphimblade Talk to me 15:49, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Concept vehicles/aircraft by definition aim to do something as they are not "something" yet. Would be my only note on that, and I recognize how everything else needs to be edited, will do so accordingly. How would I access the page at all being that it has been deleted. Bapple4747 (talk) 15:51, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
You do not; it has been deleted, and I do not under any circumstances restore advertisements. If you would like, I will give you a list of the sources which were used in it, but not the text. Seraphimblade Talk to me 16:17, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am going to have to agree here. While I want to WP:AGF, you have a little over 100 edits and they have all (but a few) been about the company and the founder. I cannot see the draft that was deleted but the tone and editing patterns are not consistent with for a new editor who does not have some type of conflict.--CNMall41 (talk) 01:54, 13 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
