Recent edit reversion edit

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 21:01, 9 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

More copyright problems edit

I've deleted your recently created article at Natiq Makrani. In the article, you indicated that parts (most) of it were copied from Prabook. That site is not, in any way, in the public domain as claimed; there is a clear claim of copyright on their page. To make matters worse, Prabook often copies from other copyrighted sources and claims them as their own, making it unsuitable as even an external link, much less a source for the actual text. Please be more cautious; I can see many prior problems with the concept of copyright in the warnings above, and any further indications will likely lead to a block from all pages, not just a partial one. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:07, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for clarification, is it possible to i create new page with same title and Write the content in my own words, and cite source? Balash-Vologases (talk) 15:57, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Of course. Please be very, very careful. You must use reliable sources (by our standards), and avoid anything even remotely resembling a copyright violation; this includes close paraphrasing or other marginal concerns. Sam Kuru (talk) 20:26, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

April 2024 edit

Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Balochi language, you may be blocked from editing. - LouisAragon (talk) 15:19, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Louis,
it's against the rules that i cite the exact word of an article(Copyrights), and i can not add materials without adequately explaining so what's wrong with my content in Balochi Language.

Let me i explain it in detail, for example in this source[1]

on page 20:
Balochi is now spoken in the south-eastern part of the Iranian language area. The north-western group shares some characteristics with each other and with the Middle Iranian language Parthian

or in this source[2]:
on page 6 :
Basically čarr and čar both words are found in the Balochi language in the whole dialects. The meaning of čar is same as in the Parthian.
The Parthian sound ž is also found in the eastern hill dialect of the Balochi language

That's what sources cited in the article state; this is not analysis or synthesis and not a reason for its removal.
As per sources, Balochi language is somewhat similar to Parthian. Balash-Vologases (talk) 17:00, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
You added
  • "Balochi, somehow near similarity with the Parthian and on the other hand, it has near kinship to the Avestan" to the Balochi language article"[1]
Your sentence not only exhibits poor English grammar, but it also contains clear WP:OR, which you inserted yourself. I've checked all the sources, and none of them (some are even non-WP:RS), mention that the modern-day Baloch language shows "near similarity" with Parthian. Or anything along those lines. The same applies to the even older Avestan, which is an Eastern Iranian language, and which you also erroneously claimed to hold "near kinship" to Balochi. Sharing "some characteristics" is not particularly notable for two languages within the same language family tree.
  • "Basically čarr and čar both words are found in the Balochi language in the whole dialects. The meaning of čar is same as in the Parthian."
So, just because there is one shared sound between Balochi and Parthian, were you intending to suggest in the article that they are somewhat similar? While there are many words of Old French origin in English, it doesn't imply that modern-day English is "somewhat similar" to Old French. Parthian is an extinct Middle Iranian language, and aside from belonging to the same language family, Parthian and Baloch do not share any special relationship. - LouisAragon (talk) 22:37, 18 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I refer you to Parthian Language article:
Taxonomically, Parthian, an Indo-European language, belongs to the Western Iranian languages group.
both balochi language and Parthian belong to the same family of language and i refer you to Encyclopædia iranica article[3]
Linguistic position. Baluchi is in all essentials a “northwestern” Iranian language, closely related to the Middle Iranian Parthian language and modern Kurdish, Tati, Ṭāleši, and other dialects.

According to the WP:RSNB, the Encyclopædia Iranica is considered a reliable source. the citation for the parethian seem to support the content i added according to the source.
There are definitely similarities between Balochi and Parthian languages, but it does not mean that they are the same language, It implies they have the same root and quite similar to each other. Balochi Language has heavily influenced by their neighbors like Persian and urdu. That the loss in Balochi is to be ascribed to persian and urdu influence. This is why modern-day Balochi language is not considered a Parthian language or has little similarity with it.
Anyway i didn't want to engage in an article content dispute, If my information is not sufficient to explain the situation so the revert in balochi language was right. Balash-Vologases (talk) 12:50, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
