Hello, I'm JavaHurricane. I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Shayan Italia— has been undone because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thank you. JavaHurricane 11:32, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ignore this message, mistake on my part due to a mixup of diffs. I was trying to revert the promotional additions using HG, but apparently you edited before I reverted, and the conflict caused incorrect reverts. Sorry! JavaHurricane 11:46, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@JavaHurricane: Cool, no worries! It's still a lotta promotion though... BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 16:48, 15 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, BahrdozsBulafka

Thank you for creating Dualist Inquiry.

User:MrClog, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

"He has been credit with pioneering the independent music scene in the country." was not supported by the cited reference, who calls him a "key name", which is not necessarily the same. Also, I moved the page to "Dualist Inquiry" per WP:COMMONNAME.

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MrClog}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

Thanks for your note, MrClog. You're right. Can we rephrase it to ..."is considered to be among the pioneers of independent music in the country's nascent indie music scene" - that should hold and can be easily supported by the quality sources...but it's okay if you think otherwise BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 12:43, 6 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I would say that "According to Megha Roy, Dualist Inquiry is considered a key name in the independent music scene in India." would be a good way of phrasing it. --MrClog (talk) 12:56, 6 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
OK noted MrClog, thanks! BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 12:59, 6 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello BahrdozsBulafka. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:BahrdozsBulafka. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=BahrdozsBulafka|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. - FitIndia Talk Commons 18:25, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello Fitindia, thanks for your message. Although I'm not sure which of my contributions may have led you to this suspicion (as the articles I have created vary enormously and reflect my own interests in those topics: architects, book publishers, economist, classical dancer etc.), for Wikimedia's record, I can openly state that I am not a paid advocate for anyone, neither have been in the past, and nor will be in the future... Regards, BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 10:17, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply. Also have you edited Wikipedia before or in another name/account? - FitIndia Talk Commons 08:34, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I have been editing Wikipedia on and off for the past decade, but was not registered.. Regards, BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 09:23, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Anoop Nautiyal

edit

Hello BahrdozsBulafka,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anoop Nautiyal for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Anant Yardi moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Anant Yardi. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 19:29, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I had put down 5-6 solid references that had not even been made full use of. A simple Google search would have further solved the matter. I'm not sure why you moved it to draft space instead of marking it as a stub. I only thought of starting the article so others can expand, and as this is not realllyy my area of interest, I will let others take it forward if anyone is interested, thanks BahrdozsBulafka (talk) 06:55, 5 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
