Licensing pictures to which you own the copyright

Thanks for your question on my talk page. The above two posts sum it up quite nicely - images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. If you follow the links, you should find all the information that you need.

Incidentally, I've been away from Wikipedia for a few days - if, in the future, you need help then the quickest way of obtaining it will be to add the {{helpme}} tag to your talk page, and post your question there.
