File source problem with File:Jamunaboro.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Jamunaboro.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Lovlina Borgohain moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Lovlina Borgohain, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. File:Jamunaboro.jpg edit

Hello. You may want to have another look at the licensing of File:Jamunaboro.jpg as I'm pretty sure you're not part of the British Government and so the OGL licence is not appropriate. You've been pointed at the appropriate place for asking questions about this stuff, but might I suggest that you upload the picture to Wikimedia Commons instead? That way it will be available to all Wikipedias, including the Hindi, Bengali etc versions, rather than just the English Wikipedia. TIA. Le Deluge (talk) 19:45, 15 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Pharawraj Basumatary edit

The article Pharawraj Basumatary has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jamunaboro4.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Jamunaboro4.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Fylindfotberserk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jamuna Boro, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I've checked those info yesterday and deleted the unsourced. Do not re include without reliable source. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:42, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Copying images edit

  - You keep uploading images which appear to be copyrighted. Instead of engaging in discussion, you just request their deletion. You cannot just copy images to Wikipedia. Repeated copyright violations will result in you being blocked from editing. -- Whpq (talk) 21:33, 16 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

June 2019 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  N.J.A. | talk 17:13, 20 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I have been blocked by mistake

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. MER-C 17:51, 20 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Vandalized Jamuna Boro article. Deleted reliable news sources and changed sourced content with own POV. AndrewBasumatary (talk) 17:59, 20 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

That is not a reason to unblock you. You need to show you understand why you were blocked in the first place and what you plan on changing if unblocked. See WP:Guide to appealing blocks. If you continue to spam your talk page with unblock requests without providing anything resembling what has been asked of you, your talk page access may be revoked. I understand i have been blocked for vandalizing Jamuna Boro article. I will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and will make useful contributions instead.

Decline reason:

This doesn't address your copyright violations, nor does it directly address your disruptive edits and false claims. As promised, your talk page access has been revoked. Once you read and understand WP:GAB, WP:UTRS is available to you. Be careful, if your unblock requests are similarly pointless on UTRS, you'll lose access to that last avenue to challenge your block. Sockpuppet investigation edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AndrewBasumatary, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked for sockpuppetry edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AndrewBasumatary. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse. In addition, your ability to edit your talk page has also been revoked.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
