Hello 24boxes media. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:24boxes media. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=24boxes media|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. bonadea contributions talk 22:28, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT I AM IN NO WAYS BEING PAID FOR THIS. 24boxes media (talk) 19:53, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Bonadea was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: No indication of notability. Previously deleted, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kunal Shah (2nd nomination); no added notability since then.

The draft creator is apparently an undeclared paid editor, and has resubmitted twice without adding any reliable independent sources.

Hi 24boxes media

Please view my feedback on the draft here:

Also, please change your username. Usernames which look like a name of a company are now allowed. Accounts belong only to an individual.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Regards, -- Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 22:59, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Typo by @Gryllida " ... which look like a name of a company are now allowed" should say not allowed. David10244 (talk) 10:50, 30 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 23:07, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear 331dot. Please accept my apologies if the article came across as material for advertising or promoting. That was in no ways the intention. I met this actor/person in New York and we got talking. That’s when he told me what he did. I wikid him and could not find anything but i was able to find him through google and a few other articles. That’s when i thought of including his name in Wikipedia. I am researching more on this actor and his work he is currently doing. I have been able to gather some articles that i assure you will me the Wikipedia norms. Please unblock me.thank you 24boxes media (talk) 22:05, 30 November 2022 (UTC) Reply

Decline reason:

One unblock request open at a time, please. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:20, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Sorry, i did not think 24boxes media would come across as a business site user I’d. I propose changing my userid to my name initials Vb0302. Please unblock my userid

Accept reason:

331dot, while the username superficially looks as though it could be the name of a business, my searches have failed to find any evidence that it is. In fact I haven't managed to find any mention of "24boxes media" anywhere except Wikipedia and two other sites which have mirrored Wikipedia:Noticeboard for India-related topics. As for the editing, there is some wording which might be regarded as promotional, such as "his breakthrough performance", but it seems to me to be well within the range covered by good faith new editors who don't yet know about Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, and suitable for a friendly warning, rather than a block. I am therefore very much in favour of unblocking. Do you wish to comment? JBW (talk) 20:58, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
My concern about their username is satisfied(though I second your advice below) but in seeing their first request above, there may be some COI concern here. However, that probably doesn't need to stand in the way of unblocking. 331dot (talk) 21:27, 2 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
24boxes media, I can change your user name if you would like me to. For the reason I have explained above I don't personally think it is necessary if you don't want it changed, but there may be an advantage in having a username which isn't likely to be mistaken for a promotional name. If your username is changed and you then try to log in under your old username, you will get a message telling you that the username or password is wrong, which might make you think that you have lost access to your account. You can in fact simply log in with the new username, and the same password as before, but I like to warn editors before changing the name, to avoid confusion. If you do want the renaming to go ahead, post a message here saying so. In that message include both the text {{ping|JBW}} and ~~~~. I will then be automatically notified of your message.
