This is a list of sports teams that are named after a sponsor. Sports teams sometimes sell their names to increase revenue for themselves although this is often frowned upon by some sports organisations such as UEFA who ban sponsors names to be used when adressing a team. If the orginal name box is blank that means the team from being formed has always had a sponsor name such as a factory works team.
