Hello there Merovingian/RFA archive-4,

Thank you for supporting me on my RfA. It's Thanksgiving Day, too... so once again a big thank you! Have an awesome weekend! (If you celebrate Thanksgiving, that is.) I will do all I can for Wikipedia, to protect it from the alien scum of the universe... I mean, uh, from Willy on Wheels and Wikipedia is Communism!

Thank you for your support

Hi, Merovingian. I just want to thank you very much for supporting my RfA, and to say also that I hope I'll make a good job of it. I'm supposed to be working on an assignment at the moment, and had been reducing my Wikipedia activity, so delayed thanking people, but I'm finding the new rollback button so easy to use that I'm just keeping Wikipedia open on my browser while working on other things, and I thought I'd like to thank at least a few of those who supported me while I'm here. Cheers. AnnH (talk) 22:09, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Halibutt's RfA

Thanks. WikiThanks.
I would like to express my thanks to all the people who took part in my (failed) RfA voting. I was both surprised and delighted about the amount of support votes and all the kind words! I was also surprised by the amount of people who stated clearly that they do care, be it by voting in for or against my candidacy. That's what Wiki community is about and I'm really pleased to see that it works.
As my RfA voting failed with 71% support, I don't plan to reapply for adminship any more. However, I hope I might still be of some help to the community. Cheers! Halibutt 05:10, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
As I noted above, I do not plan to reapply for adminship as I see no sense in it whatsoever. The community has spoken and I believe there's no need to question the community's decision. That's fine with me, I do not have to be an admin nor do I have to deal with vandalism. Anyway, thanks for your comments at my talk page. Halibutt 12:49, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Thank you!

Hi Merovingian,

Thanks for voting to support my RfA. I wasn't expecting an unopposed promotion (I thought I'd hit some die-hard edit-counters at least) and I'm touched by the trust shown in me. I'll try my best to continue to earn that trust. But first, I'll have to work on not sounding like a politician; that last sentence was awful. Oh well. Let me know when I screw something up with the shiny new buttons.

We haven't run into each other much, but you did welcome me to Wikipedia, and I'd like to thank you for that too. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 05:40, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
