Emblem vs flag

What's the reason for using the emblem vs. the flag? We seldom use emblem for such templates, as they take up unncessary vertical space and are less recognizable.--Jiang 07:38, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

To editor Jonesey95: File:DPP-Taiwan.svg has been added to {{DPP/logo}}, which is used in {{DPP}}. The previous image was deleted, so this template did need an image.
