Controversies

edit

I think it's important for us to be able to cover controversies in Wikipedia in a clear, professional and neutral way with reliable references that show both sides of any conflict. If something controversial is unreferenced, perhaps it should be taken out immediately, especially if it's about a living person. However, if basic, non -controversial information is not clearly referenced, I think it's better to flag what needs a reference or add a banner, not delete it immediately. If the editor cares about it very much, take 2 minutes to reference it instead of hitting the "delete" button. VanEman (talk) 20:06, 9 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
