The result of the move request was: Move. It appears we have solid consensus that Wōden is the primary topic of the term "Wotan", so the latter should redirect to the former. Cúchullain t/c 16:37, 12 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Of all the terms on this page (some of which are dubiously matched to the title in the first place), none has the significance of Wōden. I would move this to the "Foo (disambiguation)" title, and retarget the redirect to Wōden. bd2412 T 18:52, 3 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment at 9 Feburary 2004, "Wotan" was merged into "Odin". I think the edithistory from 2001-2004 should be separated from the 2005+ history which was a disambiguation page. Wotan (Odin) should store the mythology article that existed at this location. -- 70.50.148.248 (talk) 05:24, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I history-split the article. I moved all the talk page history and then cut-and-pasted the move request section back. User:Anthony Appleyard 06:20, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose: "Wotan" hardly appears in the article Wōden: only in one quote and the following sentence, and their ref. Not listed in the lead as an alternative spelling. He gets two mentions in a quote, and one in an image caption, in Odin. It looks as if the dab page needs a link to Odin: will add it. PamD 14:49, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, I think the article "Wōden" should be called "Wotan" as it is a more common name for this deity, if it should not be renamed Oden or Odin. – Ove Raul (talk) 00:31, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. Wōden is the primary topic as far as I can see. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:36, 5 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom. The alternative usages (those unrelated to Wōden) are of limited concern to a non-specialist. Xoloz (talk) 19:06, 11 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
