128.135.73.105 (talk) 15:45, 20 June 2008 (UTC) - This entire article reads like an advertisement. It is unstructured according to Wikipedia's policy, and appears to have been copied and pasted, possibly from the organization's website. This pages needs a fundamental rewrite in order to comply with Wikipedia's quality standards.Reply

Focus on Church

edit

The Volunteers of America, like the Salvation Army, is both a service organization and a church. This entry needs further explanation of the VoA as a church: beliefs, governance and such.LAWinans (talk) 23:49, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Substantial Edits Made

edit

Hello Wikipedians, I have just made several edits and rewritten significant portions of this article in order to address the problems mentioned above. I believe the article no longer reads like an advertisement and is comparable to similar types of articles here on Wikipedia. I have also added several references and a section on Ministry. I would like to remove the flags at the top of the article based on these changes if there are no objections. Thank you! Rmlewinson (talk) 02:31, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
