Linked in from wrong list of "Perez"
editHis name can be found under the Spanish surname category "Perez" (accent on the first 'e'). This is, of course, a mistake and should be fixed by someone who knows how. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.57.186.90 (talk) 12:58, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
SOOO many broken external links
editHi, I'm not much into editing Wikipedia entries, but somebody really should fix the links on this page. Most of the external links appear to be broken. Here's a link to Young Perez's BoxRec webpage (I have read that some boxing organizations use it as an official database); http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=009927&cat=boxer , and here's a link to his International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame webpage (I don't know how authoritative it is); http://www.jewishsports.net/BioPages/VictorPerez.htm The problem with these two sources is that they appear to conflict. It looks to me as if the boxrec record has him contesting the title with Kid Oliva in 1930 but losing the fight by TKO, while other sources that I would not normally consider authoritative all point to him having won the title. Someone might want to look into the matter.Ful Mudammas (talk) 05:57, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh, despite boxrec showing he lost the French Flyweight title bout with Kid Oliva, they do show him contesting that title again against Valentin Angelmann on 06-11-1931 and winning it. So it looks like he did win it, but there are some misperceptions as to when. Ful Mudammas (talk) 06:11, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Requested move 4 July 2022
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved to Victor Perez (Tunisian boxer). I will be following Roman Spinner's suggestion to disambiguate the boxers, as well as moving the DAB page to be unaccented. (closed by non-admin page mover) Skarmory (talk • contribs) 18:52, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Victor Perez → Victor Perez (boxer) – No primary topic. The golfer is getting almost as many page views. Schierbecker (talk) 06:48, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Note: Victor Perez (boxer) currently redirects to Víctor Pérez (boxer). Schierbecker (talk) 06:50, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support the people with diacritics are also ambiguous with this title per WP:SMALLDETAILS as English readers are very unlikely to type them. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:47, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support. There are eleven entries listed upon the Víctor Pérez disambiguation page, eight of which use the accented "Víctor Pérez", while three, including the subject of this nomination, the film about him, as well as Victor Perez (golfer) are not accented. Furthermore, one of the eight men who does use accents is also a boxer — Víctor Pérez (boxer). It would thus seem intuitive to move Victor Perez → Victor Perez (Tunisian boxer), then move Víctor Pérez (boxer) → Víctor Pérez (Puerto Rican boxer) and then move the accented disambiguation page Víctor Pérez → Victor Perez, since two of the ten men are not accented at either "Victor" or at "Perez". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:27, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom, move DAB to base name.--Ortizesp (talk) 22:03, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support per Roman Spinner suggestion. There's more than one boxer. Judekkan (talk) 17:34, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
