Vatslav VorovskiyVatslav Vorovsky – Correcting spelling. Calabe1992 18:47, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Vorovskiy" seems correct per WP:RUS, which suggests -ий → -iy in case of non-Russian origin. This is a person of Polish origin. 88.196.241.249 (talk) 19:08, 31 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, but not because the current spelling is incorrect (both spellings are, in fact, correct; they are just different transliteration variants), but because it is a more commonly used variant (as well as one that is a more consistent choice within Wikipedia). As far as spellings of human names go, WP:RUS cannot override WP:COMMONNAME, and the "non-Russian origin" remark refers first and foremost to toponyms, not to human names (and especially not to a person's heritage!).—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); January 31, 2012; 19:57 (UTC)
