Title of entry edit

This page was originally entitled Vanikolo Islands. This was inaccurate for a number of reasons, which are mentioned in the first paragraphs of the new entry, and were earlier discussed in Talk:Vanikolo Islands. The new name Vanikoro is now consistent with (1) the title of the entry in all the other languages of Wikipedia; and (2) more importantly, with the way this island is actually referred to by everyone in real life. Connection to "Tales of the South Pacific" edit

Vanikoro appears to be the Vanicoro referenced in James A. Michener's Tales of the South Pacific. - Hooperswim (talk) 16:17, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Trouble archiving links on the article edit

Hello. I am finding myself repeatedly archiving links on this page. This usually happens when the archive doesn't recognize the archive to be good.

This could be because the link is either a redirect, or I am unknowingly archiving a dead link. Please check the following links to see if it's redirecting, or in anyway bad, and fix them, if possible.

In any event this will be the only notification in regards to these links, and I will discontinue my attempts to archive these pages.

Vanikoro or Vanikolo edit

Which use is commoner in the media? --Melly42 (talk) 21:32, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

hi, The proper form is Vanikoro; it is also the one found more commonly in documents. Vanikolo is a mistake that used to be made in some 19th-century maps, and has been sometimes replicated in more recent documents. -- Womtelo (talk) 07:44, 5 January 2016 (UTC).Reply

External links modified edit
