Lead flagged for puff edit
The entire lead would benefit from a rework. Here's something I cobbled together that might get the next editor started:

I'm personally reluctant to capitalize disciplines such as gerontology except in the most formal invocations; beyond that, it just adds pretense and visual clutter. — MaxEnt 14:49, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
