ref tags and notability tag edit

I am not the creator of this article and as such, am removing the notability and ref tags. I have in good faith added many cites which assert contentions. It is my opinion that MST3000 is a major television show as such this film's inclusion in the MST3k episode guide confirms notability. Furthermore that it was released as part of an MST3k box set is the "b-movie" equivelant of being in the Criterion Collection. Therefore, in good faith as a contrinuting editor to this page, I am removing the notability tag.

Poster edit

Why was the old poster replaced with this new one? I note that many other old B movies have their original posters (EG. Manos and Monster A-Go Go). 68.39.174.238 (talk) 00:59, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

They both can be up. I am not sure if there is a policy, but I know I prefer the current DVD cover to aid in recognition of the product as seen on shelves. In my scenario, someone would see a b film for sale and then look it up here, recognize the dvd cover. I think a good argument could be made for having both. I am pretty sure, without checking, that I just commented out the old poster when I updated the dvd cover. Log in create an account, and adjust the page as you see fit. This is a doti first ask question later type of place (I hope). --K3vin (talk) 04:35, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia circa 1997 edit

It doesn't really belong in the article - until it becomes e.g. "Space Mutiny (MST3K Treatment)" - but one of the host sketches essentially predicts Wikipedia itself, several years in advance. It begins with the cast mocking their out-of-date set of encyclopaedias, at which point the male star produces a new set. "Okay, you bellyachers, I've got you a brand, spankin' new set of encyclopaedias, each page with an internet uplink so you can constantly update 'em" / "Man, this is incredibly up-to-date!" / "Wow, twenty-seven pages on Gwen Stefani alone!" -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 16:17, 7 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

I do remember that. "Fairly stable veteran of the Great War", "Charming theory" and "Congreff"! 76.117.247.55 (talk) 04:39, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Plagiarism controversies category edit

Nothing about any plagiarism controversy in the article, just some reused Battlestar Galactica footage. Removing the category. MartinSFSA (talk) 08:24, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
