There is no need to list all these accident when they are listed in the footer at the bottom of the page. MRSC 12:53, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've put the {{coord}} tag just east of the Rotherhithe New Road which is about right from what I can make of the HSE report. If anyone can refine it further, that would be useful. I've also restored the first half of the article which was deleted by an Bahrain IP in late July. 86.27.79.11 (talk) 15:51, 9 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Describing the workings of the junction

edit

It isn't easy to describe what happens at Spa Road junction without creating a small essay and once you'd done that most of it would be irrelevant to what happened at the collision. I can see where the author was coming from with what's been written as it was an attempt to simplify the crossing movements made but in its present form it's a little misleading because as it reads, the junction appears to do more than it actually does, IE....

  • "Deptford for trains to Greenwich" - This split doesn't occur until further down at North Kent East junction
  • "New Cross Gate for trains to Forest Hill or East Croydon" - This happens further down at Blue Anchor junction
  • "South Bermondsey for trains to Peckham Rye and the South London Line" - This is actually impossible ! You cannot get from the Southeastern side onto the South London Line without shunting. The only direct route to South Bermondsey is via B & C lines off Platforms 9-16 at London Bridge Low level. If you want to check for yourself, see Quail Map #5 page 3 (It helps if you enlarge it, and then pay careful attention to the direction arrows of the lines !).

I'll have a go at rewriting that section and see if I can do any better·. Fu Manchuchu (talk) 13:10, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
