  • The article is new enough, long enough, neutral and not copyvio. I couldn't access the NY Times article, but the hook claim can be verified also using Nature Climate Change. Picture in the lead

The selection of Lake Oroville for the lead is not good: the lake since 2023 is either completely full (like, now) or almost full. The lack of water in the broad Southwest apparently continues.
