• Support merge since the articles are on the same subjects. A Google search on "song of the sea" got about 123,000 ghits while "song of the sea" and bible got only about 9540 ghits. It doesn't look like the phrase "Song of the Sea" typically refers to this biblical passage, so not clear that this should be the correct article title. However "az yashir moshe" got only 913 ghits. And what basis is there for claiming this work as part of the Protestant tradition? Schubert came from a Roman Catholic family, and was so baptised, though his practice is unclear. The work has been considered one of Schubert's so-called "Jewish" works. See Lily E. I think it just sounds misleading the way it’s written. The Egyptians had been enslaving and killing the Jews, who were running for their freedom and being chased by the Egyptians who were trying to kill them. When they got to the other side, they were celebrating not only being alive but being free after years of slavery and oppression.
