screaming girl edit

In X2 was she that girl who screamed loud when the intruders came? -Lil_Flip246

I'm pretty sure she was meant to be Siryn, yes, although I can't remember if she was officially credited as such - SoM 20:00, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

How come on the Siryn page it says so? -Lil_Flip246

I changed the Title: "Appearance in X2" to read "Appearances in other media" as in other X-men bios. This will help if she is used more in the future and soon to describe her part in X3, the title was too limiting Danrduggan 18:38, 25 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

IMDB lists Shauna Kain as playing the role of "Siryn" in both X-Men II and III. --superdanny303

Not actually a mutant edit

Since she has the same powers as her father, she is the inheriter of a mutant, not a mutant per se.

The Mutants are a race. She is an Homo superior. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.1.102.26 (talk) 00:06, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Novelization edit

In the novelization for X2, Siryn's name is given as Tracy. Is there any hint in the comics that she uses a nickname like that? Hbdragon88 01:05, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Young? edit

Should it be mentioned the X-Men movie siryn is extremely young? Lots42 00:52, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:X FACT COV005 400.jpg edit

Image:X FACT COV005 400.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

First Class edit

Issue six of "Wolverine: First Class" ( a cannonical series that chronicles the previously unknown adventures of Wolverine and the then 13-year old Kitty Pryde) features Siryn as a major character. The story reveals that Theresa was around 14 years old when she was rescued from Black Tom and also talks about her life on Muir Island. As such I'm going to edit the "Early Life" amd "Muir Island" sections and completely remove the Marvel Age section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.13.10.189 (talk) 15:56, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sean edit

The author of X-Factor actually pleads with the general public on the very first page of the comic itself to refrain from spoiling the events surrounding Siryn's recent childbirth. As these very recent events are still playing out, it seems wrong not to honor this. 76.93.147.77 (talk) 06:01, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I responded to this on the Jamie Madrox Talk Page. Nightscream (talk) 16:09, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

X2 or X3? edit

The picture of Shauna K has a captions saying it is from X-Men 3, but the description of the file and the source it is from both say X-Men 2. Some guy (talk) 05:06, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Recent Information/Name change edit

Recently a lot of new information has been added to the page about Theresa Cassidy; please avoid undoing this as this information provides info up until her most recent appearance in X-Factor volume 3 #244.

Now in some older parts of the article, Theresa's codename has been changed from Siryn to her first name. I think this change should stand because if you're a new reader and don't know a lot about the character, it might become confusing because half the article refers to her as Siryn then suddenly Banshee. Characters like Anya Corazon (Araña; now Spider-Girl) and Danielle Moonstar (Psyche, Mirage and Moonstar) have been known by other codenames throughout publication but their articles refer to them by their first names. Mr Jay89 (talk) 18:43, 20 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

If a whole-article name change is absolutely necessary, then the standard is to use last names rather than first names. 50.151.230.203 (talk) 17:36, 20 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Indeed, articles shouldn't use a character's first name unless there's a particular reason for it (e.g. when discussing two characters with the same last name). Anyway, I don't think a name change throughout the article is called for every time a character gets a second codename. For example, Captain America was known as Nomad for a while, and also carried the handle of "The Captain" for a time, but that doesn't mean the article can only refer to him as "Rogers". So long as the lead mentions the name changes (as it does), I don't see how there can be any confusion with the use of Cassidy's codenames.--NukeofEarl (talk) 14:04, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
