it's difficult to see how this group of adherents claim to be Christian. Family members maintain control by claiming to be, first messengers, and then reincarnations of the Persons of the Trinity.
Indeed, the article states that the cult was rejected by the World Council of Churches - because it's not Christian.
A second point is that it's not inclusive. A Christian church, by definition must be open to all. To be a Kimbanguist, you have to be Congolese, or of Congolese descent.
