The result of the move request was: page moved per request. Noting the uncertainty expressed below, there's no actual opposition to this move, so I'm giving the request the benefit of the doubt. If this is a bad move, we'll find out. - GTBacchus(talk) 02:35, 9 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You meant "His", right? Anyway, what spelling did the subject himself use? Also, what spelling was used in the English language media of his time? We can set the phonetics aside and use the author's own way of spelling his name. --Ragib (talk) 06:05, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have mentioned already Google is suggesting the spelling "Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay". I have found it in a site affiliated by West Bengal Government], the spelling "Sarat Chandra" is being used. Thanks. --Tito Dutta (Talk) 12:02, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Unsure, Google web search gives me about the same number of ghits for the existing title as for the proposed new one [1] [2]. Not sure how much weight to give the government site; Do we have any evidence of his own preference? Andrewa (talk) 06:09, 6 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
