Years active

It says she was active since 2005 (when she was 13-14) but in the article it says she wasn't even an Atheist until the age of 16. TFighterPilot (talk) 21:47, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

I changed her years active to 2013 because that's when she co-founded Ex-Muslims of North America, started writing opinion pieces in online journals, started doing speaking engagements, and became an activist. Neutrality

Someone tagged the activism section of the article as not being neutral. However, the article only states what Sarah Haider believes and what her organization believes. Nothing in the article is stated that their opinions are fact. For example:

"EXMNA BELIEVES Muslims communities often shun those accused of apostasy..." It does not say Muslim communities do anything, other than this organization believes that shunning happens and thus this organization exists to stop the shunning they believe is happening.

It is further explained by saying "This is why EXMNA believes that is very important to normalize dissent in religious communities and why they have created a network of social support for those who leave Islam."

The article is very neutral and only states what Sarah Haider and her organization believes. This article makes no claims of truth on those opinions held by Sarah Haider. I even changed some wording to be absolutely certain the article is neutral. I will be removing the neutrality dispute tag due to the changes I've made and for the reasons stated above. Date of Birth

The infobox stated she was born on March 27th, 1991. However, that was unsourced so it was deleted-- which is understandable. However, the year she was born (1991) is also unsourced. If you go through all 14 sources used for this article, none of them state her date of birth nor the year. So if we deleted the date for being unsourced, why are we keeping the year when it is also unsourced? I've been looking for new sources to see if her date of birth is mentioned any where, but I haven't found much luck. Until it's sourced, perhaps it would be best to delete the year (1991) just as the date was deleted. Daxri 17:24, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

New information on date of birth, though there is conflicting evidence. First, someone added her birth date to be March 27th, 1991. Then the rest of us went looking for sources for the date and found none and thus removed it. However, in early April of this year I found an article where the writer of the article actually interviewed Sarah Haider and an age was provided. So I assumed she asked Sarah what her age was during the interview and thus included it in the article. The article says she was 28 at the time & the article was published on June 14th, 2019. So if the original birth date (March 27th, 1991) was correct then this new information from the article lined up perfectly. If she were born on March 27th, 1991 then on June 14th of 2019 she would have been 28. Makes perfect sense. But then, I recently found her 2nd twitter. She did a "get to know me" kind of thing and told everyone her age. In this twitter thread that was posted on May 14th, 2020 she says that she is currently 28 years old. Which, If she were actually born on March 27th, that would make her Birthday in March of 1992, NOT 1991. For example, if she was born in late May or early June of 1991 then she would be 28 at the time of her Twitter post (May 14th, 2020) & 28 at the time of the interview in "The Stranger" Magazine (June 14, 2019). I know people lie and therefore it's possible she lied about her age in the Twitter post but I see no reason for her to lie about her own age. And if she did lie, don't you think she would have knocked off more than 1 year?! It's most likely she's telling the truth. So we either have a wrong month or a wrong year. I think a wrong month is more likely, because if it's the month that's the problem then the 2 sources I found are not actually in disagreement with one another. Anyway, this is as far as I've gotten. We clearly can't give her full dob as we can't show it's widely known, see BLP:DOB. And we can't interpret sources, so we shouldn't even include her year. Doug Weller talk 07:54, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

Yes. That would be why I removed all information about her date of birth from the article. I made this statement on the talk page so editors (other than myself) could help look for better sources like we discussed in February of 2018, not so you could reiterate what you already said to me in February of 2018.Daxri (talk) 08:28, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
