Flag and intro edit

Two things:

  • The introductory paragraph is for James Brownlie instead of Sam Irving and needs fixing.
  • I've changed the national team in the infobox to Ireland national football team (IFA) from Northern Ireland national football team because the IFA was an all-Ireland team until the 1950s, but I've left the flag as the Northern Ireland one because it existed at the time and the IFA were based in Belfast. I'm not sure if this is the right flag to use though.

  • Link manager.
  • Four paras looks a little too much for the lead here, perhaps three with a merge or two?
  • Northern England any use as a link?
  • Also non-League football.
  • "persitent" typo.
  • "on eseason" typo. Looks like you borrowed my keyboard for this one!
  • Could link Captain (association football)?
  • North East England has an article.
  • "non-League" link.
  • "in the North-East of England" do you need to repeat it like this?
  • "1920–21 season" is there an article for this? Which particular season was it? Ah, you link it/name it later... do it here.
  • Link penalty area.
  • "missing out on third place"" relevance...
  • "o injury.[5] His injury" repetitive.
  • "during the season" well it was at the end of the season really.
  • "against England in" link England national team.
  • Dundee Derby -> derby
  • "deflected shot of a" of or off?
  • "In total made 183" he
  • "Football League First Division " overlinked.
  • "a finger infection " ->" an infected finger"
  • Burnley is overlinked.
  • As is Chelsea.
  • "20-match tour of South America" WOW! I'd love to know more about this (not for this article specifically).
    Actually came across British football clubs tours to South America by accident when looking up the tour, only 16 games listed here so wondering if some were unofficial or postponed. Surprising how popular these tours were. Kosack (talk) 10:22, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Dundee United overlinked.
  • Is Director of football a better link than Managing director?

That's all I have here, again, a nice article and an enjoyable lead. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 14:44, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@The Rambling Man: Thanks for this one. Everything should be in order apart from my shoddy proofreading skills! Kosack (talk) 10:22, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
No worries. Incidentally I meant "read" not "lead" above! Happy with the changes and passing. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 10:43, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
