Requested move 28 May 2023 edit

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: not moved. The argument for support is that there is no other primary topic and for WP:DIFFCAP. The argument for oppose is that the Succession episode is not the primary topic to a panic room. There are more people suggesting that PRIMARYTOPIC matters more in this case and that is what I find consensus in. (closed by non-admin page mover) Sennecaster (Chat) 20:22, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Safe Room (Succession)Safe Room – Disambiguation not needed. There are no other articles entitled "Safe Room" to disambiguate from. * Pppery * it has begun... 19:27, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose Sorry, not convinced that Safe Room with caps is automatically and evidently the TV episode to most readers. They may be looking for safe room. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:36, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment a disambiguation page can be built, Air Credits has a single called "Safe Room"; there's the synonym for panic room; and there's the shelter rooms for emergencies, such a storm shelters, mine shelters, fallout shelters, all "safe rooms"; and there's rooms that are safes (precious item antitheft strong room) -- 64.229.90.172 (talk) 23:48, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. I'm not in favour of DIFFCAPS for a relatively low-notability article such as this one. Recommend to retarget Safe Room to Safe room. 162 etc. (talk) 02:45, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Per WP:DIFFCAPS, see Panic Room. There's no such thing as "relatively low notability"; either something is notable or it's not. If this article is not notable, people are free to nominate it for AfD. I am making the assumption it's notable when stating this opinion. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 15:56, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
While WP:DIFFCAPS is somehow still policy, it is regularly rejected in RM discussions. See Talk:Grey Goose (vodka) for a much higher-profile article that was recently determined to need parenthetical disambiguation. 162 etc. (talk) 16:44, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Making a disruptive vote against policy, based on the fact that OTHER disruptive votes have succeeded in short-circuiting a discussion, is getting pretty meta, but still disruptive. DIFFCAPS is policy, and until it becomes removed from policy, needs to be treated in the same manner as things like WP:N. I urge the closing admin to look for any sort of policy based reasoning rather than simply doing a vote count. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 14:42, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
While I'm generally in favour of having RMs dictated by policy, and not the other way around, this discussion (and many others like it) make it clear that DIFFCAPS is not supported by the Wikipedia community. 162 etc. (talk) 16:29, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
A vote by the community would make it clear that it's not supported by the community, not isolated RMs. See WP:POINT. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 17:51, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
