Thanks for producing this. The quoted opinions should probably be attributed to the sources. Something like, "According to Peter Gay, Rado was...." Also, quotations should have double quotation marks, like this ".   Will Beback  talk  22:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sandor Rado (psychoanalyst)Sandor Rado — (Relisted. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 19:50, 18 December 2010 (UTC)) Sandor Rado is currently a redirect to Alexander Rado. (Sandor Rado was the birthname of Alexander Rado but he is most commonly known as Alexander Rado). Also the French version of this article is called "Sandor Rado" http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandor_Rado. A HATnote would need to be put in to cover Alexander Rado. No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 00:22, 10 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sandor RadoSándor Radó — This page should be moved either to Sándor Radó or to Sándor Radó (psychoanalyst) because page titles should use similar ortography as the page itself. The diacritics are relevant here. Also a disambiguation page for Sándor Radó and Alexander Rado might be created. Also, a move to "Alexander Radó" might be considered for the latter person. --Mlang.Finn (talk) 17:16, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, the French page title has incorrect spelling. On the page itself, the name is correctly spelled (Sándor Radó). Also the German page has the correct spelling. --Mlang.Finn (talk) 18:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment - it seems most unlikely to me that most people (including Brits and Americans) would type in the diacritic version of his name to find the article when the diacritic letters arent even available on most international keyboards, that possibility is still covered by a redirect anyway.--Penbat (talk) 20:55, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Who says you have to? If there's one redirects are for, that's that. Try it with Curaçao, Jägermeister and a dash of Crème de menthe. And Pálinka since our friend is Hungarian. Cheers. walk victor falk talk 12:31, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is supposed to give reliable information. The page title must use the same spelling as the article itself – any other solution would be confusing and amateurish, and in conflict with other-language Wikipedias. Redirect is for those cases where it is difficult to typeset diacritics. (Note that in English one must write aren't, not "arent".) --Mlang.Finn (talk) 11:40, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • WP:DIACRITICS is quite clear; we follow the sources. If the majority of English-language sources use diacritics, we should as well; if not, neither should we. Unfortunately, none of the sources are linked to web versions so I have no idea what they say. Powers T 12:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment: i dont particularly care whether it is called "Sándor Radó" or "Sandor Rado", the other possibility would covered by a redirect anyway. But Mlang.Finn manually renamed it as "Sándor Radó (psychoanalyst)" which contravened the previous Requested move outcome.--Penbat (talk) 12:55, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

To many direct quotes

edit

Generally Encyclopedias are supposed to summarize people, not have lots of quotes about them. This article feels like it has too many direct quotes.John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:14, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
