Ezra Levant
editEzra Isaac Levant is Jewish Canadian (Link), not Russian Canadian. He's born in Calgary and attended Calgary Jewish Academy. I'm removing him from the list. --N Jordan (talk) 21:58, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
Michael Ignatieff
editFisenko, if for some reason you disagree with the inclusion of Michael Ignatieff in this article on Russian-Canadians, argue your reasoning, instead of tyrannically deleting the entry. By all definitions, the man belongs on this page. He is both notable, and of Russian parentage. Plain and simple. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.49.118.97 (talk • contribs)

Russians in Canada → Russian Canadian – Russians in Canada" implies that these are Russian citizens living in Canada, which in many instances is simply not the case. Many have never lived in Russia nor hold Russian citizenship, it also implies that these are in some way "foreigners" in Canada, as they are not classified as Canadians. Instead, these are more appropriately referred to Canadians of Russian descent (or Russian Canadians) per WP: PRECISION. I eat BC Fish (talk)18:44, 21 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support with proviso that Canadians of Russian descent might be more viable in real-culture/identity terms, as most people of Russian descent do not maintain all that much Russian-national identity or culture; both types of titles exist e.g. Norwegian Canadians and "Canadians of FOO descent" in cat names.Skookum1 (talk) 02:30, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support Skookum1 has it bang on. Russian Canadian is most appropriated from consistency preservative but Canadians of Russian descent would just as acceptable.--Labattblueboy (talk) 19:56, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- rename to Russian Canadian to match article content and to match similar articles for other immigrants to Canada and other countries. Hmains (talk) 03:19, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Support as per Talk:Mexican Canadian#Requested move 16 December 2014 - article is about diaspora and their descendants in Canada - not about immigration or visitors. -- Moxy (talk) 04:42, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Russian Canadian → Russian Canadians – WP:PRECISE. correct spelling Alexander Iskandar (talk) 05:28, 19 April 2017 (UTC)}
- Support. The article lede and text throughout uses "Russian Canadians". Also, this 2015 move discussion was a mass request for moves of "X Canadian" -> "X Canadians". It was turned down, but it appears that since then the articles have all been moved anyway -- to Afghan Canadians etc. etc. Whether there was another discussion or someone just did this I don't know, but per Consistency (one of the Five Virtues), we should move this article to match those others.
