Exceptionalism

edit

If there is American Exceptionalism, then why do we call it Russian Idea instead of Russian Exceptionalism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.225.136.246 (talk) 00:27, 28 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Because russians themselves use the word "идея" (Ideya) and not Исключительность or similar. 84.15.190.11 (talk) 21:09, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Compare to Rusky Mir

edit

Is it possible to clearly distinguish Русская идея and Русский мир (Russian world)? In casual conversations with actual russians (who are not philosophers or historians or poets, just ordinary "people on the street"), these two seem to be conflated. They also seem reflexive, in that they're so obviously "true" that it's absurd to think otherwise (you get strange looks, and "why would you want to do that?" responses.) 84.15.190.11 (talk) 21:09, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
