Problems that need editing edit
I added the "needs editing" note at the top. I came here to fix a couple "the the" issues, but this whole article has an awful lot of other writing problems that I don't feel capable of fixing. For example:
"Hunt was 1 of 3 forwards selected and such was is ability it was the the great Jimmy Greaves and not Hunt who lost out to the a certain 24 year old West Ham United forward Geoff Hurst."
This has two instances of "the the" but it's also quite confusing in other ways. I'll fix the duplicated the's.

Updated page edit
I've hopefully sorted out all the problems with the grammar, although I think the page still could be expanded.
We need images and more insight into the personal Roger Hunt. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mwmonk (talk • contribs) 11:50, 25 April 2007 (UTC).
Glazebury - north of the Mersey edit
Being as it is, north of the River Mersey, Glazebury (and Culcheth) was part of Lancashire before 1st April, 1974. Please do not change, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.79.130 (talk) 12:39, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
