Why is Réti spoken of as "Czechoslovakian"? Most pages about anybody, that lived in an era where their home country was not independent (like Jean Sibelius, born in de facto Russia, never spoken of as a Russian). Shouldn't Réti be referred to as Slovakian? –– ♫ Mara ♫ 20:00, 13 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

As far as I know, his ethnicity was Jewish, his surname Hungarian, his first name and first language German and his nationality Austrian-Hungarian until 1918 and Czechoslovakian since 1918. He was born on Slovakian soil but probably had no special connection with this part of Czechoslovakia or its language.--Ioannes Pragensis (talk) 17:22, 15 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
