The basic sources don't apparently give his mother's name, and what is said about the father is scanty.
Arthur Pridham, the tutor, at least at that period of his life, belonged to the Plymouth Brethern. His brother Charles is better known, an Oxford graduate, and also of the Plymouth Brethern, possibly from college days. Alfred Taylor Schofield certainly is well known as a conservative evangelical.[1] As a memorialist he may well have been selective about Harold Schofield's life.
