Fair use rationale for Image:Quietdrive Promo.jpg

Image:Quietdrive Promo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Which City?

I don't believe Quietdrive is actually from "Minneapolis" per se as none of the members I believe grew up in the city limits. Their bands local following started in the west suburbs too. I think it should be Hopkins or Minnetonka, one or both. I think Wikipedians are smarter than the average joe and recognize the differences within a metropolitan area. For example the band No Doubt really came from Orange County suburbs but if you were to say they came out of Los Angeles then a lot of people would turn their heads because L.A. proper is very different from Orange County. Minneapolis is quite distinct on its own terms and many of the music venues and clubs that Quietdrive played were in various towns. Similarly the local band Dropping Daylight is from Apple Valley (about the same distance as Hopkins) and had their big following in the south suburbs and actually rarely played any Minneapolis shows. Not to take the credit away from the city which birthed everything here but it's not entirely correct and Wikipedia is a little bit more intelligent than a CD promo. Actually the band members grew up in Robbinsdale, Plymouth, Bloomington, Crystal, and Sioux Falls, SD respectively. No one ever lived in either Minnetonka or Hopkins. Also, there are very few venues to play in those suburban areas. The band claims Minneapolis because that's where they have rehearsed, performed, and recorded since their formation. Singles

But I was wondering if anyone could confirm that the two singles listed are he only ones? On their MySpace, their are four songs: Take A Drink, Time After Time, Rise From The Ashes and Maybe Misery. JazzlineB (talk) 19:58, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

There might be a distinction then. "Time After Time" was the radio single and it was the label's decision to put it out. "Rise From The Ashes" was the band's choice originally, plus it was featured in NHL 2007 so that might've pressed them to release a video. The interview I read was questioning whether or not they would release "Rise From The Ashes" as the next single and asked the band why that was not their first instead of the cover. Notability?

The band is on Epic Records. Had a charted single as well as a single in EA Sport's NHL game and appeared on numerous large platform concerts such as Bamboozle. How are they not notable? 68.190.114.32 (talk) 21:48, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

The band's YT channel has been closed due to copyright issues. The link, therefore, directs visitors to a site that doesn't exist. TherminatorX (talk) 22:14, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
