....though interesting, have been reverted several times from several articles. I can not find any baseball-related or historical sources to support this; see, for instance, a Google search [1]. The sole website making the claim is not an acceptable source, but belongs to someone claiming to be a descendant of Sentell's [2]. It is claimed that his maternal grandmother was a slave and his other grandparents were white...whether that makes one an African American I do not know...I do know that he identified as a Creole, and that counts as a person of color since the meaning of that term has expanded to include anyone whose ethnicity is not 100% European... 71.162.113.226 (talk) 13:22, 27 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
