I removed the AFD tag after adding additional citations to Otto's work in other articles (including Lenape and Wampum, and mentioning citations of Otto in secondary works, as well as additional articles he as written and video lectures he has delivered. Let me know if further work is needed in this area.

I haven't looked, but I'm sure your additions help establish notability. But please note that an AFD (articles for deletion) tag is a very different thing from a {{notability}} template. I was alarmed to see your edit summary and the heading of your post because AfD tags are not to be removed until the AfD has run its course. You are free to remove the notability tag if you feel you have satisfied the criteria, however. Read WP:PROF for more suggestions regaring bios of academics. Sorry about that, was unaware of the etiquette in this area. I'll make sure to note this in future.

Notability must be established by listing secondary sources that corroborate the subjects notability. There is nothing within the sources that are not by the author himself. This is not secondary source verification. I think this article should probably be deleted. Hedgehogfox (talk) 15:00, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
