Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

Removed reference edit

The reference following this paragraph was removed because the reference is low quality and does not support any of the statements made in the paragraph: <code>Opel was the first brand to offer a high performance variant of a [[Compact MPV|MPV]] when it launched the Zafira OPC with a 2-litre turbo producing {{convert|192|PS|kW bhp|0|abbr=on}} in 2001. More than 12,000 units of that sporty Zafira generation were sold.<ref>www.fastestlaps.com/cars/opel_zafira_opc.html</ref>{{Better source|reason=This reference does not confirm any of the claims made in this paragraph The content was left in place with a citation needed tag added. 174.21.166.165 (talk) 04:07, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Failed reference verification edit

The reference http://www.vln.de/newsausgabe.gb.php?id=3301 supports only the idea that OPC vehicles race at the Nurburing and does not support any other statements in the paragraph.

The reference http://www.opel.ie/vehicles/opc/highlights1/design.html only established that white and blue are available, not that blue is the typical color.

Arden blue is a typical colour for OPC! See various photos on the web or even the pictures shown in this article. The colour is only available exclusively at Opel OPC models. The text says at the end:"...to the special OPC Arden Blue". Opel must have a reason why they call it "special" and call it "OPC arden blue" and not just "arden blue", as it is officially known. What is a typical Ferrari colour to you?--Dencent (talk) 17:44, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

The reference http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/microsite/vxr/ only extablishes that the VXR brand exists, not that it they are Vauxhall versions of the OPC products. (That's most likely true, but this reference does not establish the OPC - Vauxhall link.)174.21.176.132 (talk) 03:23, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

"..., not that it they are Vauxhall versions of the OPC products." I'm not blind to see that the Astra VXR, Insignia VXR, Corsa VXR and previous models are identical with OPC models. In fact Vauxhall is a subsidiary of Opel and the only difference is the badge. How can you say there is no link between VXR and OPC? "In the UK, Vauxhall's versions of OPC models are badged as VXR." True. You see it even on the website or does the Corsa OPC look completely different from the Corsa VXR to you??? Technically they are also the same and are produced in the same factory. What evidence do you need? --Dencent (talk) 17:44, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
174.21.176.132 - why be such a pedant? What is there to be gained? Dozens of references exist confirming that the Vauxhall VXR is the same as Opel OPC. I've put one ref in to the lead, but I have to say, your method of editing is tiresome and not very collaborative. Warren (talk) 12:04, 15 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

OPC and Motorsport edit

Clarity is needed with regards to Opel's involvement with motorsport. The only current OPC branded involvement appears to be VLN as in the article. I could not find a ref to support OPC being behing the Astra GTC at the BTCC (see Autosport). Also I could not find a ref to support OPC being part of the return to rallying, as Opel's own media is referring to a new (division/brand?) "Opel Motorsport".
